Dr. Ola
Aleksandra Deibel MD, IFMCP (Dr. Ola for short) is a Board Certified Family Physician and is a certified practitioner through the Institute for Functional Medicine. Dr. Ola’s professional interests are in disease prevention as well as discovering and remedying the root causes of chronic illness.
She recognizes that every person is unique in his or her biochemistry and genetic makeup and the ‘one size fits all’ model of conventional medicine does not always apply to the healing and resolution of chronic illness. Functional medicine is individualized, patient-centered, science-based, and views the body as one integrated system. Functional medicine addresses the underlying causes of disease using a systems-oriented approach and takes into perspective the whole person rather than an isolated set of symptoms. The first office visit generally begins with a thorough personal health and lifestyle history, a physical exam, and depending on the specific needs of the individual, a range of laboratory testing may be ordered. Treatment approaches in functional medicine utilize diet, lifestyle changes, supplements, herbs, and/or medication as methods of treatment all the while seeking the safest and gentlest approach to restore the body to balance. Dr. Ola is also trained in Prolozone Injection Therapy by Dr. Robert Rowen MD (2014).
Dr. Ola completed her Family Medicine residency at Quillen College of Medicine in East Tennessee State University and received her medical degree at Poznan University of Medical Sciences in Poznan, Poland. She is a certified practitioner through the Institute for Functional Medicine. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Ola is also a certified Level 1 Kundalini Yoga teacher.
